HMRC stands for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. It is also referred to as HM Revenue and Customs. They are a non-ministerial branch of the British Government that is responsible for collecting taxes. They also collect some forms of state support, and administer other regulatory regimes such as the national minimum wage.
